Leprosy, because of its complexity remains a health problem in Bangladesh due to lack of awareness thought it is curable and free treatment available. ALO is working to build the awareness in the community using different methods and mass awareness.  ALO involves in community development process for the rehabilitation to ensure equal opportunities, poverty reduction and social inclusion of people with disabilities due to leprosy. Leprosy has wider consequences of economic and social injustice apart from physical challenges. We experienced often it is easier to defeat leprosy as physical problem but challenging to bring back the dignity of the affected person or community.
